Merry Christmas!!!

We had a wonderful Christmas celebrating the birth of Jesus and spending time with family and friends. Lanie Ann had a great first Christmas and Landon had fun helping his sister. They both received so many nice gifts! Lanie Ann got several precious baby dolls, fun toys and sweet clothes. Landon was excited to get a Wii, Guitar Hero, a Vtech laptop, a smart cycle, hydrogen rocket and on and on. Joey and Landon got fishing poles and gear from Nonie and Pop. Ba, Landon and Mommy had a big surprise from Nana and PawPaw, tickets to High School Musical!!!
We were so thankful to have Grandmother and Granddaddy celebrate with us this year. For a change, everyone was well and we felt safe to be around Granddaddy. We spent Christmas Eve at Nonie & Pop's, Christmas morning at home, Christmas lunch at Papa Jerry's & Nana Sherry's and Christmas night at Nana & PawPaw's. It was awesome!!!

Tea and cookies?

Lanie Ann received a tea set from some friends at one of our favorite restaurants and therefore we have had lots of tea parties lately.
Landon was sick and didn't get to go to Papa Jerry's for the annual cookie night. Ba was sweet enough to make cookies with him so he didn't totally miss out. They were yummy!!! Thanks Ba!

Sorry for the long absence!

Let's just say I've missed reading about your lives and updating you about ours! We've been without internet since the 17th. It's funny how you don't realize how much you depend on something until you don't have it. Joey finally got AT&T or Bellsouth, whoever it is, straightened out and we're back online. I feel so behind!
To briefly update you on what has been going on at our house...
Lanie Ann turned seven months old on the 17th and is just a doll! She brightens everyones day with her precious personality and new grin that spreads across her face and scrunches her nose and eyes. It is so cute and makes us all laugh. She had her 1st sick doctors appointment this week with an ear infection in her left ear. So she is on nasty antibiotic. She has a new tooth and waves at people. She also says BuBa, which is just perfect! He is her favorite person.
Landon had his school Christmas program and did great! He also had to go to the doctor and is on antibiotic, steroids and breathing treatments. Again, he answered all of the nurses questions for both himself and his sister. When the nurse asked how his appetite was, he said, "Well, I've been eating a lot of sugar, but I haven't been drinking any beer." When I asked him why he said that, he said, "I just wanted to get a laugh." Needless to say he did!
Joey has decided to grow facial hair for the first time in his life. If you know me very well, you know how I feel about that! :)
I am hanging in there trying to tie up loose ends for Christmas and keep everyone dosed up on their medicine.
We are looking forward to celebrating the Birth of our Savior this Christmas with Landon and Lanie Ann.
You know I can't post without a picture, so here are a few and I will catch up when things slow down around here. (Landon with his mask from his breathing treatments and Lanie Ann happy despite an ear infection, oh, and Joey with facial hair!)
Merry Christmas!!!!

Christmas Program...

Landon and his class did such a wonderful job at their Christmas program! They sang a couple of songs ringing their jingle bells the entire time. It was so cute and we were so proud. We had a great meal and lots of surprises they had made for us. It was a wonderful time to celebrate the birth of Jesus with his friends, teachers and family.

7 MonthsToday!!!

I cannot believe our baby girl is 7 months old already!!!
You are such a precious part of our family, Lanie Ann!!! So sweet and a really good baby. You are saying BuBa and waving. Your little smile is so contagious, now with three teeth. Making all of our days brighter because you are in them. We Love You, Baby Girl!!!

Cupcakes, cupcakes and more cupcakes!

I had the bright idea of making cupcakes for Landon's school program and lunch rather than buying them. It was such a great idea, I just needed to get an earlier start on things. Landon and I had fun and they turned out great, at midnight!!!

"It's time for school, Lanie Ann."

Landon has been teaching Lanie Ann her letters and numbers and some spanish with his chart taped to the mantle and pointer stick. He will tell her, "it's time for school Lanie," and starts teaching. It's so cute!

Happy 30th, Daddy!!!

We had a great SURPRISE birthday party for Joey friday night. It was such a wonderful time with friends and their families. It meant so much to us for all of you to come and celebrate with us. Here are a few pictures. Unfortunately, I don't have group pictures to cover everyone.
The last picture of our family was taken at 1:06am. Amazingly, both of our children were still awake and happy!
Happy Birthday, Daddy!!! We LOVE YOU so much!!!!

Landon to Mommy: "You know what I really want for Christmas? I want Lanie Ann. She's the best toy in the world! Better than a four wheeler."

Decorating for Christmas...

This is always such a fun time of year, especially seeing it through the eyes of a child. Landon always gets so excited putting up the Christmas decorations and listening to Christmas music. This year was extra special being Lanie Ann's first Christmas! She was so excited seeing the lights on the tree for the first time.
